The Past photograph was taken aroung 1919, the house stood a few hundred yards down river from the weir sadly nothing remains of the house. It used to be owned by York Street Flax & Spinning Company and it had four families living in it in the 1950's, they were the Mccombs, the Tufts, the Campbells and the Steeles some of whom worked for the company. These people must have well paid workers, judging by the clothes on the three boys. When the company closed down in the 1960's they buldozed down not only this house but all the other workers cottages nearby in Bogs Head.
