This is the top of High street and the view in both pictures was taken from the bottom of Railway street looking toward the road leading into Riverside. The Past photograph shows trees in front of All Saints' Parish Church while the two shops one sold wool and the other was Johnny McMaster's the local barber was pulled down to widen the road into Riverside in 1979 on the very day they were laying Johnny to rest.
