The
First Antrim Presbyterain congregation was formed around 1619 and remains
one of the oldest in Ireland. The church was built in 1834 but unfortunately
was burnt down accidently in 1860. It was rebuilt and the inside changed in
1903 although the outside of the church has not changed from the 1903. In
the Past photograph to your left is the Bruce Memorial School which taught
about 100 pupils. The small building behind it is the Sexton's house, these
two dwellings were pulled down and replaced by a large church hall in 1994.
