As the sun sets on this day, the Battle of Antrim is over, the Untied Irishmen are beaten and in retreat. - - -Upwards of of over two hundred men, women and children died on that sunny afternoon. - - -For once religion did not matter as men got together to fight an injustice being done to all.

Here is the grave in the old Unitarian burying-ground in Antrim town and interred here is the body of one of the men who fought in the Battle of Antrim with the following inscription:
Here Lieth the Body of Wm. Eckles, who departed this life the 7th June, 1798, aged 46 years.
