There
is no Present day photo as the bar is now completely an undertakers. This
is the only photograph I have of the inside of the bar and it shows part of
the counter and the shelves of drink. Apparently the bar was the most stocked
bar in all of Antrim, the photograph was taken in the middle 1940's as on
the shelves you can see figures of Winston Churchill and Monty (Lord Montgomery).
The other Past photo shows you an itemised bill for a funeral in August 1913,
this gives you an idea of the cost of one back then when you consider that
in 1958 I was earning £1.00 a week! If you look down the list you see
that it must have been some wake and the person very popular for over the
three days they consumed 6 1/2 Pints of Whiskey and 2 bottles of Port wine.
