Work has now started, but first of all the inside has to be completely gutted. The photos below were taken on the 21st November 2008.

This was the court room which was on the first floor and the door to the left led to the judge's chambers.

Here we are on the ground floor were in days gone by the prisoners were kept. Then the arched windows had no glass only iron railings so that the prisoners could look out and get fresh air.
These pillars on the ground floor are to be taken away, restored to their former glory and put back.
