Here
the Cupola roof has been stripped ready to go and start the restoration work
on it. It is in two parts as it is more managable to work on.
This
is the Finial from the Cupola and lets you see how big it is. Being made of
wood it has badly deteriorated.
This
view from the Roof give you an idea of the size the Auditorium will be.
Here
the roof trusses are being repaired and strengthened to Safety regulations.
In these
two photographs repairs and the refitting of the Eaves. Also the roof will
be higher to accommodate the Auditorium .
This
wall stripped back to the stonework will be replastered with special plaster
form days gone by. Also this wall is part of the Auditorium .
These
two pillars are stripped back to reveal the original stonework.
