his skills balancing on the roof this slater is all set to start laying the
roof slates.
This
finished section shows how good it looks and I love the way the slates are
distressed. Even though you would not see the difference from the ground,
it just shows the amount of dedication to detail is being done on this restoration.
Here
the new chimmey waits to be rendered and then plastered.
When
you look at this wall behind the window, it shows just how skilled the builders
where all those hundreds of years ago.
This
is the interior of one of the wall arches and the original stonework.
While
here on the exterior they have cladded the arches to make them look more imposing.
This
close-up shows the cladding and the original wall which will be rendered and
then finally plastered.
Here
the men are putting back the original stone pillars.
