Antrim Railway Station has not changed much, but sadly the trains have. It was lovely to see all that steam and wheel movement, when train spotting you not only looked for the train number but what class it was and also the number wheels on the engine. So when you look at the Past photo you can tell that it was a six, four, four engine, it is also a Class U2, engine number 74 and was called 'Dunluce Castle'. It was built in 1942 ( the year I was born!) by the North British Locomotive Company of Glasgow, the engine was drawn from service in 1963 having completed 1,135,484 miles. You can still see the beautiful engine as it is on permament display at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum at Cultra Co Down.
