This
photograph was taken on the occasion of the first Hunt Ball in the hotel.
At the back from the left are Maud Wilson, Miss Connelly, Kathleen Black,
Jean Black, Marian Carmody, Mary McKeown, Captain Clarke (resident), Miss
Evelene Harten and Sarah Hannon. Middle row has Mrs Ellen Walker (Cook), Molly
McBreen (Head Cook), Kathleen George, Maureen Shannon, Margaret McGuirk, Hotel
guest .and Sadie Wade. In the front row is Mr Nye (resident).
This
is the front cover of a booklet that gave you all the services provided by
the hotel.

Some
of the information on the staff was kindly given to me by Mrs Marie Abercrombie.
My sincere tahnks and appreciation to Maureen Shannon one of the above staff
who supplied me with more information via her friend Brendan Smith.
This is
Mike Hawthorn who was a Formula One driver and became World Champion in 1958
when this photograph was taken. He is standing at the front door of Hall's
Hotel with the then owner Bob Wilson, in the background are Derk Macrae and
Robert Wilson.
This
photograph was used in the new Mike Hawthorn book called 'Golden Boy' by Tony
Bailey & Paul Skilleter.
This is
Joan McReery the proprietor of the hotel on her Wedding day. The photograph
was taken at the back of the hotel as they had a small garden there. In the
background you can see a greenhouse where they grew their own vegetables including
Tomatoes and Grapes.
This Allen
and Marie Abercrombie on their Wedding day at the back of the hotel. Behind
them to the left you can see the Sixmilewater river. Marie's sister was the
propritor of the hotel.
This was
the ballrom but when this photograph was taken it was all set for Allen and
Marie's reception with a three teir wedding cake.
In these
two photographs you can see the Wedding cars outside the hotel. The photograph
to the left shows the Wedding car moving off to take the couple on their honeymoon.
This was long before Marie's Wedding as she is a young girl in the photograph.
