These photographs were taken on Sunday morning 17-08-08 and the flood water had already receded by about two Feet.
This is Abbey View at Muckamore which is just next to the Sixmilewater River.
Still at Abbey View, the Police officer wades through the floodwater with no waterboots ect to aid the distressed residents.
Meadowside
This is Meadowside off the Dublin Road.
These residents houses in Meadowside as you can see by the watermark on the wall. The water was level with their letterbox throughout their homes.
This residents car at Meadowside was submerged to the windscreen and sadly would not start. The inside of the car was a mess.
